Recognized for its diverse and mountainous golf course, the Sanctuary’s pristine grounds are primarily focused on the preservation of local flora and fauna so that guests may appreciate them against a backdrop of natural beauty. As the crowning jewel of this undulating oasis, the Sanctuary’s 22,000-square-foot clubhouse and attached pavilion are perched near the property’s highest peak, offering the perfect vantage point to soak up the panoramic views.
“With the course approximately 6600-feet above sea level, the temperature changes can be quite dramatic,” says Danny J Flanagan, Executive Chef at the Sanctuary. “In the spring and fall, the pavilion can be quite chilly, even if the sun is out, and especially with the pavilion’s stone floor.” Although portable heaters and temporary windbreaks offered refuge from wind and weather in the past, a more permanent solution was needed to maximize the income potential of this space.
“The pavilion is an integral space for not only the wedding business, but also the charities we serve at The Sanctuary,” Danny continues. “In looking at a more permanent solution we knew we did not want to go with the old-school, open flame systems that you had to have cages over and had the sound associated with the open flame. The modern look of the Bromic units is what drew us to them as a solution to our heating needs. They’re clean, with no open flame, have a good area of coverage and are easy to turn on and off.”
As the only manufacturer to offer gas, electric and portable heating products, Bromic were uniquely positioned to offer unbiased advice on how best to ensure consistent customer comfort in this exposed space. Bromic’s expert engineers considered plans provided through our free site design service, styling a solution that optimized the performance of 13 Platinum Smart Heat™ gas heaters placed strategically throughout the venue’s outdoor areas. By applying in-depth knowledge available only at the manufacturing level of product familiarity, Bromic are able to accentuate the already exceptional performance of their heaters through the provision of a service-based solution that is not limited to the product characteristics alone.
Danny recalls a recent evening wedding held at The Sanctuary where the careful configuration of Bromic’s Platinum Smart Heat™ gas heaters proved its value; “It was approximately 45°F outside at the time of the ceremony. We turned the heaters on approximately an hour before the bride walked down the aisle. The feedback from the guests was that it was very pleasant to sit through the ceremony and not be shivering and wanting the ceremony to be over so they could come inside.”
The practicalities of the pavilion previously required after-ceremony festivities and other outdoor activities to be tentatively booked at the mercy of the elements. Bromic Heating’s tailored solution has drastically extended this venue’s possibilities. “The return-on-investment on the Bromic products is well worth the money spent,” Danny states confidently. “The look, heat generation and customer satisfaction that is achieved with these heaters is above initial hopes.”
