From South West France to South Bank, Brisbane
When creating a breathless dining experience inspired by the South West of France at the picturesque River Quay in South Bank, Brisbane, Nick Pinn, director of the Aquitaine Brasserie, chose Bromic’s Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Electric as the perfect solution for his outdoor dining area.
“We were doing a bit of research with the architect when we first started to fit out the venue and I think we found them online,” Nick explains. “Electric was the only option for us and the Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Electric was really one of the best looking heaters out there.”
When designing the perfect outdoor space to compliment the intricate detail of the restaurant’s interior, the exposed nature of the river side environment needed to be taken into account.
“I’d seen what some of the other restaurants in the area had and they were all of the same steel finish,” Nick continues. “Because they’re right on the water, corrosion can be a bit of an issue. They are sort of ‘in the elements’ [and] the black fitted in better with our design concept.”
By providing a weather-conscious heating solution, the unique Bromic models allowed the restaurant’s outdoor dining area a level of year-round comfort that would take full advantage of the fantastic riviera vistas without diminishing the classy, yet casual atmosphere.
“It can be a little bit windy [and] they are fixed firmly up into a solid steel bracket,” Nick adds. “From an ease of installation [point of view], it was pretty easy. They do look great – they are one of the best looking mounted heaters that I’ve seen around. I’d recommend them from that point of view.”
For the Aquitaine Brasserie, the Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Electric heaters provide reliability through durability despite the sea-side setting while its subtly sleek design makes it suitable for a variety of locales – from the South of France to South Bank, Brisbane.
