Not your average Earl Grey. Not your average outdoor heater.
When presented with a well-known heritage building with a design conscious owner and a business that had a maximum capacity that was almost halved during the winter months, Bromic Heating was able to deliver a unique outdoor heating solution that wowed the owners and their customers alike.
Offering a refined experience featuring al a carte dining and high tea, The Tea Room at the Gunners Barracks is famous for its spectacular views and heritage past. “Our brief for all our venues is we take over heritage buildings and bring them back to a bit of an old world standard and flavour,” General Manager Mark Holmes explains of their approach to business development.
“Before, we could only fit 80 people inside the main dining room. Now, we can take events of up to 150 people!”
Having waited 7 years for permission from the Harbour Trust to enclose the balcony at the venue, Mark and the owners were understandably particular about their choice of accompanying outdoor heater. After an attractive, purpose-built enclosure was installed by Blindmaster, a heating solution was designed by Bromic Heating using the Platinum Smart-Heat™ Gas and Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Electric heaters in combination to allow for maximum heat coverage.
“I was there for dinner a week ago and it was fantastic,” Mark shares. “It was just nice and warm and made the whole place really comfortable. It’s actually going to increase the potential of our business over the winter period. Before, we could only fit 80 people inside the main dining room. Now, we can take events of up to 150 people!”
By taking advantage of Bromic Heating’s expert sales and design knowledge, the space at The Tea Room can now be used to its maximum capacity all year round. And it’s not just the business’ owners that are happy. “All reports are that our customers are extremely impressed with the heaters,” Mark finishes by saying. “They’re smart, they’re economic and they make very positive energy for our staff and also for our clients. I think they’re great.”
